Posted by Labour has put forward its Children’s Recovery Plan. We are supporting it. The language of recovery rather than ‘catch-up’ runs through it. Kate Green has commissioned an excellent plan outlining a comprehensive programme of activities for children including sport, the arts and mental health support. It shows how the full amount of funding the government’s own catch up tsar has asked for, could be used effectively. Instead of the 15 billion requested, the government have gone for a measly 1.4 billion. We welcome the way a clear alternative to Tory policy has been put forward.
